Rhodesian Ridgeback Art

Ever since I was a child, I have loved dogs, drawing and riding bikes. Some of you may remember The Fiona Gallery which was a collection of my Rhodesian Ridgeback art. My muse was a wild liver-nose girl named Oakhurst's Shiraz Toast Of The Town. We called her Lapsi. She was a whirlwind of excitement and hilarity. We were deeply connected to each other and I miss her everyday. I feel close to her when I am creating these latest pieces. She was always in the studio with me and I would often look at her to see her staring right back at me. It is the silly expressions and head tilts that I like to paint. Lapsi, Lobster, Lopsidaisical, my North my South my East my West, you're the girl that I love best. 3-19-11 / 11-28-2024
